Microalgal Technologies Workshop
13 July 2022 - Swansea University
What can we use microalgae for? SO many things! Here's a few Livestock and fish feed, food, vitamins, waste water treatment, fertilisers and bio-stimulants, pigments, glycerol, biofuels, bioabsorbsion of CO2
All phases of microalgae cultivation have different requirements; knowing the tips and secrets can help you achieve success faster. In this workshop, we will explore the different possibilities that microalgae cultivation offers us.The day will start with an exploration of the first steps of microalgae cultivation at the laboratory level. As the morning progresses, we will discover the different techniques of large-scale cultivation in our two 8000L reactors. At the end of the day, we will show you what we can do with biomass and the different molecules we can extract from it
